Looking for a refreshing and nutritious treat? These summer waffles made with Land Art Spirulina, fresh basil, plant-based cream cheese, and strawberries are light, flavorful, and perfect for sunny days. A unique twist on the classic waffle that everyone will love!

For the waffles:
1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp Land Art spirulina (unflavored)
2 tbsp hemp seeds
1 tbsp ground flaxseed
1 bunch fresh basil, finely chopped
2 tbsp plant-based cream cheese
3 tbsp coconut oil
½ cup warm water
1 cup plant-based milk
For topping:
Plant-based cream cheese
Fresh strawberries
Basil leaves
Preheat the waffle iron.
In a small bowl, combine the chopped basil with warm water.
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, spirulina, and ground flaxseed. Set aside.
In a food processor, blend the coconut oil and plant-based cream cheese until smooth. Add the basil-water mixture and blend again.
Gradually incorporate this mixture into the dry ingredients, then stir in the hemp seeds.
Slowly add the plant-based milk while mixing until you achieve a smooth batter.
Pour the batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until waffles are lightly golden or crispy, depending on your preference.
Top your waffles with a spread of plant-based cream cheese, fresh strawberries, and a few basil leaves for a refreshing and colorful finish.
