Polyunsaturated fats, such as omega-3, can reduce cholesterol levels, help protect against cardiovascular disease, strengthen the immune system and play a role in the preservation of the protective membranes covering the nervous system.<br \/>\nOmega-3 fats play a crucial role in brain function, help improve learning abilities and fight memory loss, support eye health, reduce inflammation (their anti-inflammatory properties improve muscle recovery after physical exercise), act as a natural mood stabilizer and help lower the risk of depression.<br \/>\nFood sources of omega-3 fats include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cold water fish<\/li>\n<li>Walnuts, almonds and pumpkin seeds<\/li>\n<li>Green vegetables<\/li>\n<li>Olive and flaxseed oils<\/li>\n<li>Flax, chia and hemp seeds<\/li>\n<li>Eggs<\/li>\n<li>Avocado<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, as the amount of nutrients in our food is getting lower and lower due to commercial food processing and industrialization, it is best to add nutritional supplements \u2013 such as<br \/>\n<a href=\"Omega-3 Land Art\" target=\"_blank\">Omega-3 Land Art<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>RECIPE: HOLIDAY GRILLED VEGETABLE SALAD WITH FETA<\/h2>\n<p>Ingredients :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 small butternut squash, peeled and cut into squares<\/li>\n<li>5 beets, peeled and cut into squares<\/li>\n<li>1 large red onion, peeled and cut into wedges<\/li>\n<li>1 garlic clove, minced<\/li>\n<li>3 tbsp. honey<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp. coconut or olive oil<\/li>\n<li>3 sprigs fresh rosemary<\/li>\n<li>1 cup almonds, coarsely chopped<\/li>\n<li>2\/3 cup crumbled feta cheese (if lactose intolerant, use feta made from goat milk)<\/li>\n<li>1 cup fresh parsley, chopped<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dressing :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 tsp. <a href=\"https:\/\/landart.ca\/products\/omega-3-gelules\" target=\"_blank\">Land Art Omega-3<\/a>\n<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp. olive oil<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp. Dijon mustard<\/li>\n<li>1 \u00bd tsp. maple syrup<\/li>\n<li>Sea salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Instructions :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat the oven to 400\u00b0F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare the vegetables (squash, beets, onion and garlic) as indicated.<\/li>\n<li>Place the vegetables in a bowl and add the melted coconut oil (or olive oil) and the honey. Mix well.<\/li>\n<li>Spread vegetables out on the cookie sheet, then add the rosemary sprigs, sea salt and freshly ground pepper.<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until vegetables are tender. Let cool.<\/li>\n<li>Meanwhile, coarsely chop the almonds and the parsley.
